Welcome

Dr. Hans Peter Lang received a PhD in physics from the University of Basel in 1994 with a thesis on ‘Scanning tunneling microscopy on high temperature superconductors and carbon allotropes’. As a postdoc, he directed research in the pulsed laser deposition and low temperature scanning tunneling microscopy groups at the Institute of Physics in Basel. Since 1996, he is working as a postdoc at IBM Zurich Research Laboratory in the field of cantilever array sensors. Since 2000, he is a project leader in a project focused on biochemical applications of cantilever array sensors. He has given more than 100 scientific presentations and has published about 100 scientific articles in renowned journals.

My research interests include a variety of topics in material science, physics, chemistry, biology and engineering.  Interdisciplinary is very important in today’s research.
